Dan in Real Life
I believe Dan only wants what is truly best for his kids. He loves them, and doesn't want them to make the same mistakes he did. As far as falling in love so fast, Dan is desperate to make others around him happy. That includes his dead wife, she would have wanted him to be happy...and it lingers in his mind. Dan will forever have a doubt in love, because his wife is gone- the love of his life! Unfortunately this reflects on his kids... though he would prefer to be the good guy, Dan can't let go of his past. He's only trying to protect his children from any pain. What happens if he falls in love and this woman becomes their mom? And then she disappears? Well, they're back to square one. He wants so badly to believe in another life with someone else...and in the beginning of the movie, has yet to see it.
To fall in love? No one is too young for that...its natural. These things happen! What I believed to be love in second grade is definitely not the same definition as now. Always dreaming of "a prince sweeping me off my feet" turned quite quickly into " a guy with a sense of humor"..but the key point that I'm trying to make is, that love changes...so does your perception of love. Age cannot play a role in the rooted emotions love makes you feel. It's all about reality and what you perceive at the time to be true love. The important thing is, to let children make their mistakes, even if that means heartbreak. Because they will learn over time, that you, as a parent, are there for guidance- not to restrict them. Forbidden love is the worst kind of love, believe me I know how that goes. To tell your child "NO YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT LOVE IS."... thats wrong. Because they do know, just maybe not in the way you see it.
Religion
Imagine what its like, to be foreced out for your home.
God has punished us like children, thrown out of a comfortable place...
isolated.
We walk during the night, and into the morning.
Like blood through veins, we flow down the mountain side,
clutching desperatley to everything we own.
No matter how far we go,
I wonder...
is he following us?
This Looks Like Anarchy
My whole life I've been striving for more, knowing that a piece of me was missing. Heavy concrete, like that of a prison cell, blinded my foresight. What was on the other side; I knew nothing of it. Placing my hand on the wall, still sticky with fresh paint, I felt vibrations of tools, and heard people shouting on the other side.
A woman picked up a hammer, started to hit the wall. Letting loud grunts loose with each sloppy swing, she broke into a layer of old graffitti. I watched it fall to the ground. I smiled and put my hand on her shoulder, giving her time to rest.
She smiled, teeth glistening under sweaty, dust covered lips.

Movie Time
When it comes to movies, I adore some sarcasm, action, horror, fantasy, and little bit of irony. Quentin Terantino is one of my favorite directors. Kill Bill 1 and 2 have to be my favorite movies! As far as what I try to stay away from, those ABC Family Channel movies tend to annoy me. I hate Lifetime Network Movies too...they all seem so fake, and redundant. I like new ideas! One place I can always count on is the SyFy Channel-though, most movies are poorly budgeted, and others are well, down right LAME. I still enjoy the grasp most shows have on Science-fiction and Fantasy. I also hate the most recent dance movies. Footloose was a fantastic movie!...in the 80s. Keven Bacon is one of my favorite acters, and his role was absolutley ruined with the 2012 release of Footloose. When I'm watching a movie or documentary, I need a drink and a snack. I like the stereo up, and the lights down low! It's always great to have either a friend ( like the twin ) or my family with me when I watch a movie.
If I could put my life story into a movie, I would probably play that weird girl from the Breakfast Club...not to say i couldn't be a super-hero or an alien! I figure that was a realistic answer.
It looks like I enjoy movies that remind me of the past... and ones that can take me on an adventure, according to the survey. I also enjoy informational seeking movies, and movines with artistic flare!

Kurt Cobain
This is Curdt Kobane,
Tattered Jeans from the store
He bought them like that
Now they're all patched up
Heavy sunglasses keep sliding
Down the bridge of his nose
A Ciggarette clings to his fingertips
Constantly Relighting it
Shoes are new, too tight
Kept his old laces
They're all loose and frayed
And the camera flashes hurt his eyes
Drenched in old sweat
The Blue Collar chokes him
Instead
Wants "XLarger-than-Life" Size
Bent Backward
Guitar twisted spine
Hasn't showered for days
Roasting under the lime-light

Window Poem
Straight ahead
A distant horizon line
Blurred, always moving
Lean to the left
My hair sticks to the glass
Cool against my raging head
There are more stars out tonight
Sometimes they move along with us
Wondering if they have a home
Landscapes change to the pace of time
In the distance
A distant horizon line
Blurred, always moving
Lean to the left
My hair sticks to the glass
Cool against my raging head
There are more stars out tonight
Sometimes they move along with us
Wondering if they have a home
Landscapes change to the pace of time
In the distance
Unknown, vage, always shifting

e.e. cummings
it may not always be so; and i say
let this last forever (as long as
forver may last) for if two hearts
can be severed into four
- then become two again
then one heart
forever it must be
Love must be Forever.
let this last forever (as long as
forver may last) for if two hearts
can be severed into four
- then become two again
then one heart
forever it must be
Love must be Forever.
Inspiring Images
Smooth strokes of color lay lost... an inspiration absolutely pure. My eyes are unable to focus. I take in a shuttering breath and as my head tilts up, I shut them tight. The wind rushes through my clothes, billowing around my body…another breath… and I feel whole again. Art comes naturally, honestly it does! It pulses through my veins, it grasps a brush, bringing my hands to paper. Art plagues my brain, eating away reality. Sometimes I’m left not knowing where my mind ever truly lies. Or whether my mind stays in one spot in the first place. I just feel my ribcage fill with vague air, grasping poison to my throat…inhaling, letting it soothe the ache in my chest.

The "Counter-Culture"
When I think "Counter-Culture", I always think back to the 1920s-1960s. Each generation seems to rebel against one another. In the '20s, it was "Flappers". In the '60s it was the "Hippies". Now, its the "Hipsters" , which were cool, before being cool was cool. I'm just saying that the "Counter-Culture" is a part of Society's natural order. I feel we need this intermidiate questioning and rebellion towards rules in order to keep peace, and ideas flowing.

Famous Lines From Famous Books
" A Screaming Comes Across the Sky"
This line is from the novel, Gravity's Rainbow, which was published in the year 1973, by the author, Thomas Pynchon. He was born in 1937. This author is also known for other works, including The Crying Lot 49, and Mason and Dixon.
Gravity’s Rainbow is written in a series of episodes, with at least 400 different characters. These episodes are divided into four parts, creating the epic novel as a whole. All the characters have one thing in common, that is, a quest to uncover the secret behind a device misplaced by the government. Other plots within the numerous episodes might lead a bit astray from this underlying quest.
Critics say that this novel seems to drudge on a lot, and that the book is filled with unnecessary detail. Others disagree, and praise the author for placing them so well, into the world he had created. This complex plot is the work of a shear genius!
The book does seem to stir my creativity! I would love to read it, and maybe create a few comic strips from my favorite episodes. I’ve always liked to research conspiracy theories, and this novel has definitely caught my curiosity. It also seems revolutionary, if I don’t read it, I might be wasting some time huh?
" The Knife Came Down, Missing Him by Inches, and He Took Off"
This line is from the novel, Catch 22, which was published in 1961, by the author Joseph Heller, who lived from 1923 to 1999. This author is also known for other works, including Something Happened and Closing Time.

Dream Threads
We start to panic, and it seems the harder we try to escape the screaming, the louder it grows, the slower we get. We move as swiftly as we can. My heartrate rises, which I’m thankful for. At least, a beating heart is a rarity here; a blesssing out of shear luck. I’m clenching my teeth. Her hand is weakening and I’m dragging her body with every fiberous muscle. I need to find a house, a place to rest. Just then, the screaming crowd circles around us. They stop screaming. Our eyes meet. She collapses. I lay on the ground. Theres nothing to grab onto.

Day Dreams
It’s a quet night. As I wait for my Ipod to charge, I’m watching TV. When I hear the suttle ding from the corner of the counter, I snatch up a blanket, my iPod and head outside. My dog’s sad eyes are there to grip my stare. I held the sliding door open, letting her escape the hot air. I spread the blanket out on the back deck. The sharp twists of cloth cause a motion sensor to go off. The porchlight comes on.
I lay down, and put one arm behind my head. When my headphones are in, I let the lyrics take me away.
“ I’ll pick you up and take you where you want, anywhere you want”
“ I’ll pick you up and take you where you want, anywhere you want”
I crop the night sky like I would one of my pictures. My eyes are fixed on the stars. Im watching them gleam and sparkel as they move across my “make-shift” horizon line. As the motion sensor timer clicks off, so does the light. Its in this moment, I can finally rest. I rais my moon-kissed arm, white against pitch black. I remember my back tensing and arching forward, lifting my hand higher, to the stars…they were so close, I couldv’e touched one.

The Best Kind of Dream
It had been just a few months since my Step-Grandfather passed away and it felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. One night, as my eyes closed, I thought about our last day together and the fond memories we had...
I looked up, it was twilight. A slight breeze was in the air, and it smelled like summer. I remember walking toward my Grandfather's sliding glass door. This was the backyard I spent my childhood in. I was barefoot, knowing this because the grass felt like soft, cool, threads between my toes. I wanted to head inside, but then stopped abruptly. I wasn't supposed to be there, I kept thinking Its too late, he's dead. So I turned sideways, and headed up the porch stairs. I looked toward the other houses, past the rough wooden fence around the yard, but only saw vague shapes ahead. When I glanced above the horizon line, the wind picked up. I watched as a gradient glow formed in the distance. My pace quickened until I reached the roof.
My feet pit-patted on a fake, white, plastic-like finish. When I reached the top, I was suprised to see a tree splitting the roof into sections. Above me, the branches grew around a wooden platform, with two thin observational windows. The mystery of how it got there took me under, I couldnt help myself! I moved in closer, only to find out that this platform was made with simple tools, plywood and nails. I had to climb the lower branches just to reach it, when I got there, what a spectacular view. The sky shifted from a dark violet, to a light burgandy.
I felt the floor begin to shake, I thought that maybe my weight had been too much for the make-shift tree house to handle. So I plopped down on my hands and knees. I could only glance up one more time, before the tree started to sway back and forth. With that, I landed on my side...(When I woke up that morning, I had an awful headache) ... A sense of comfort came with each gust of wind, the air wasnt sharp or cold. It was warm and soft.
When I grasped the rthymn of the tree, I peered out of the thin observational window. With each sway, came a different sky...and for a second I believed I was traveling through dimensions. From upside down trees floating in the sky, To an abundence of dancing stars, each image became more and more beautiful. The tree becan to slow, I closed my eyes and drifted into slumber, knowing someone was watching over me.
This dream had alot to do with my mourning, I suppose I was letting death inspire my imagination...either way, its a dream I will never forget.
